ABOUT PROJECT

GERMAN COOPERATION

This is a project funded by The German government aiming at creating organizational improvement in Vocational training centres to make vocational education more practise-oriented.

The project is focusing on government training centres and private training centres registered by VTA. All activities are under consideration of long term impacts.

Based on a long  term relation between the two cities, Stone Town in Zanzibar and Potsdam in Germany (meanwhile city twinning), this project was initiated and developed through common and fruitful discussions of the delegations of the two cities.

Duration

The project has 2 phases, 1st phase was for 3 years from 2017 to 2020 and the 2nd phase started from 2020 to 2023. Basically the project is led by manager based in Zanzibar, project coordinator and private sector liaison officer.

The Overall goal of the project

Graduates with vocational training qualifications have better employment and self-employment chances and prospects. To reach this goal the project focuses on three key areas.
